| It's Never Too Soon to Stop Supersaver! | |||||||||||||||||

The Stop Smoking Supersaver combines all 4 savers created for the HPSA project (see below), including more than 20 separate animations on aspects of smoking.
The animations run at random (and often keep the viewer guessing about what's going to happen next). This greatly enhances the variety & hence the fun of the saver. The animations alternate with a message screen (with cessation advice-line numbers, or details of local stop-smoking groups etc). FREE SUPERSCREENSAVER A generic screensaver (with the NHS Smokers Helpline number 0800 169 0 169) is available for FREE download & distribution (Mac & Windows). Email us for the web address to download it from (savers@comiccompany.co.uk). Localised versions have been created for use throughout the Rotherham area (including schools, colleges, and clinics), for an FE college in Milton Keynes, and an outreach project for young mothers in Somerset. | These four savers were created by Comic Company for Health Promotion Service Avon, and piloted in Bristol FE Colleges. The project was funded by Europe Against Cancer and UK Departments of Health.
For the project, the savers displayed a local freephone number where students could get a QuitKit and information about free NRT. |
They have now been adapted for more general use, finishing with the NHS Smoking Helpline 0800 169 0 169.
Sorry, the separate screensavers are only available in Windows versions. However, the complete works are available in one combined Mac file (see above). Installation on your PC should be automatic. The previews should work fine on both Macs and Windows computers. |
